Flossie, officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest living cat, turned 30 on December 29, 2025. That milestone is roughly equivalent to 140 to 150 human years.
Born in 1995, Flossie has lived a long and well loved life. She spent her first 10 years with her original owner, then another 14 years with his sister after he passed away. Today, she lives in Orpington, England, with her current owner, Victoria Green.
Despite her age, Flossie still enjoys a routine that includes waking early for breakfast, sleeping often, and finding time to play. Green says Flossie remains surprisingly active and continues to jump onto furniture on her own.
Green previously shared that she bought Flossie a small ladder to help her climb onto the sofa, but the cat has ignored it entirely. Instead, Flossie keeps doing things her own way, showing that even at 30, she is still full of spirit.
Green credits Flossie’s longevity to good fortune and years of loving care. While she now follows a special diet, Flossie continues to defy expectations and enjoy life one nap and leap at a time.
