A heart-melting video making the rounds online is showing a new adoption twist at the Jacksonville Animal Shelter, where dogs are getting the chance to choose their people.
In the clip, a group of shelter dogs bursts into a yard full of excitement, tails wagging and paws flying, before running up to different visitors and pouncing with pure joy on the humans they seem to pick as their own. The moment mirrors viral AI-style videos circulating online, but this time, it’s completely real.
The shelter’s team, known as Team ACPS, explained the inspiration behind the idea, saying, “When Team ACPS saw those adorable viral videos of AI shelter dogs choosing their owners, we knew we had to do it for real. We got picked by so many adorable pups and we promise hundreds of dogs and cats are choosing you. They just need you to choose them back.”
