On their wedding day, one couple received an unexpected gift in the form of an adorable wedding crasher.
Douglas Robert and Tamíris Muzini’s special day was here, and the pair arrived at a church in Brazil to officially tie the knot.
Among the assembled guests was a stray dog who wasn’t quite on the invite list.
“I was surprised. I thought, ‘Look, there’s a dog inside the church,’” Muzini recalled for The Dodo. “My heart melted.”
Down the aisle of the church was a dog who watched from the doorway as the two exchanged their vows as the ceremony continued.
After the pair were officially married, and walking from the altar to the exit, the pup became full of life.
“When he greeted us at the end, he asked: ‘Take me home. Take me,’” Muzini told The Dodo.
Now starting their new life, the couple decided to take in the dog, naming him Braia
Caramelo, officially and unexpectedly adding a third member to their family.
“He is very content, very energetic and full of life,” Muzini said. “Really, he adopted us.”
Despite past injuries the dog faced, he continues to settle into his new life, the newlyweds
caring for the special pup who popped up on their special day.
“He’s so loving. Despite everything he’s been through, he still believes in the goodness of people,” Muzini explained. “He gives us hope.”
