Most daughters ask their dads to pick them up from the airport. But when your dad is a Southwest Airlines pilot, that request can turn into something much bigger.
Southwest Airlines shared the adorable moment on Facebook August 30, writing:
“POV: Your dad’s a Pilot and you weren’t clear when you asked him to pick you up from the airport…”
Instead of greeting his daughter, Addison Stock, and her new husband, Quinn, at baggage claim after their honeymoon in Cancun, Captain John Arvin went full “dad move of the century.” He actually flew their plane home.
“In the dad move of the century, Captain John was able to pilot their flight home from their honeymoon, resulting in one of the best surprises we’ve seen!” the airline cheered in its post.
Photos show the couple looking stunned as Captain John greeted them at the airport. Another snap captured Addison wrapping her dad in a teary hug. The post even included a sweet throwback of Captain John walking her down the aisle in July, and a childhood photo of the two in a cockpit together.
The internet quickly melted. Over 150,000 people liked the post, with comments flooding in:

Southwest sweetly replied to another emotional follower, saying: “Daddy-daughter bonds are like nothing else.”
Addison and Quinn, who live in Arizona, got engaged last October before tying the knot this summer. Their Cancun honeymoon ended with a flight home they’ll never forget, because Dad was literally at the controls.
Talk about setting the standard for what it means to pick your kid up from the airport.
