A sushi chef has gone viral for posting a sweet message to announce that the restaurant would be closed for a day, so he could take his son to Legoland.

Genji Sato, a restaurant owner and chef in California, closed his restaurant, Sushi Sasabune, for 24 hours to celebrate his son’s 7th birthday. In order to inform customers that he was going to take the day off, he posted a flyer on the restaurant’s door that read, “We will be closed 2.28 Monday due to chef taking his son to Legoland for son’s 7th birthday.”

The chef also posted an image of the flyer to Instagram and Twitter, where it went viral, racking up more than 40,000 retweets and almost 560,000 likes.

The post caught the attention of the Legoland Instagram account, which commented, “We wish your son a very Happy Birthday and hope you two can visit with us in the future.”

Sato and his wife, Kaya, have been following this tradition since their son, Daiki, was four years old, and they hope to continue with it.
