Sometimes, all it takes is a little ink, and a lot of heart. Artist Benjamin Lloyd didn’t expect his Facebook post to go viral when he snapped a photo of himself giving an airbrushed, temporary tattoo to a child. “50 likes and [I’ll] go to Starship Hospital and tat all the kids up,” he wrote, sparking more than 469,000 likes and thousands of shares.

Since then, Lloyd has been busy spreading joy. “Well it looks like [I’m] off to Starship,” he wrote as a follow-up, and true to his word, he has visited Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland, as well as IHC, an organization that advocates for the rights of developmentally delayed individuals.
Photos and videos of Lloyd airbrushing tattoos onto children have captivated social media, with hundreds of thousands of people stopping to like, comment, and share. On his Facebook page, Lloyd says the tattoos are more than just fun designs, they boost confidence and bring smiles to those who need them most.

To keep the good vibes flowing, Lloyd has been raising money online, aiming “to create smiles to those in need.” With each temporary tattoo, he’s proving that even small gestures can leave a big mark on people’s hearts.
