When a medical emergency unfolded at a daycare in Clarksville, Tennessee, no one expected a 4-year-old to be the one to take charge. But little Kyndal Bradley didn’t just surprise her teachers, she amazed them.

“I told the teacher,” Kyndal explained proudly to local news. “I said the other teacher; she was sick.”

The teacher had collapsed and was having a seizure, and she was the only adult in the room. While the other children stood in shock, Kyndal jumped into action, running to get help.

“She’s our hero for the day,” the staff told Taylor Moore, Kyndal’s mother, when they showed up at her door to share the remarkable news.

Moore was stunned. “I’m kind of looking like, what happened?” she recalled. “If she hadn’t have gone and got the assistance, this story could have gone a totally different way.”

According to WSMV, paramedics who arrived on the scene found that the teacher had stopped breathing twice and rushed her to the hospital. Thankfully, she is now recovering.

Despite never having taught her daughter how to handle an emergency, Moore said she was floored by Kyndal’s instincts.

“I never thought to introduce what to do if an emergency arises, so it was a shock to me to see that she knew exactly what to do in a situation like that,” Moore said in a video call, with a beaming Kyndal in her arms.

Kyndal may not know how to dial 911 just yet, but she absolutely knows how to step up when it counts. And now? She’s not just a daycare student.

She’s a hero.
