A local Waffle House customer has captured the hearts of thousands with his kind gestures, and it’s all thanks to the last words his mom said to him before she passed away.
An unidentified man was pinning a note with the words “Love Every Body” to a $5 bill.
The man was sitting in a booth alone with cash splayed out in front of him. Out of genuine curiosity, Kevin Cate, a political writer and filmmaker, asked the man what he was doing.
“Saw this man sitting by himself at a Waffle House in Midway, Florida. So I said hello and asked him what he was doing with that money,” Cate recalled via twitter.

The man iterated that his mother’s last words were “love every body”, so that’s what he was choosing to do with his time, and as it seems, money.
Cate posted the heartwarming gesture with hopes that others would share their own stories of spreading love.
“While he was alone, clearly his mom’s love is still with him and now all of us,” Cate said.
The now viral tweet provides an example for how people should be, in light of the tough times we may face.
“Wow you have no idea how much I needed to read this,” another chimed in. “So much time spent doom scrolling on Twitter and feeling so sad and helpless about life. I forget the joy I have felt from helping those in need. This is what I need to be putting my energy into, spreading love and kindness.”
Since 2014, the man has given away over $13,000 in cash to random individuals, and it sure seems that he’s proudly keeping his mother’s last words in his mind and heart.
