Actors, Mila Kunis and husband Ashton Kutcher, have launched a GoFundMe to aid the people of Ukraine, vowing to match $3 million in donations.
The GoFundMe went live, along with a video of the famous couple announcing their support for the people of Ukraine.
The goal set for this fundraiser is $30 million, and in less than a day, they reached almost $7 million with more than 15 thousand people donating. This exemplary show of support goes to show that the people of Ukraine are not alone and have captured the hearts of the world.
“Nobody is going to break us, we’re strong, we’re Ukrainians,” Zelensky, President of Ukraine, told the European Union, “Life will win over death. And light will win over darkness.”
Mila Kunis has expressed her pride in the Ukrainian people along with Ashton Kutcher, who shows conviction for his wife’s passion to help her homeland.
“Never been more proud to be a Ukrainian.” said Mila Kunis on the video posted on GoFundMe, Ashton Kutcher adding, “And I’ve never been more proud to be married to a Ukrainian.”
Kunis was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, in 1983, then a part of the Soviet Union, which fell shortly after in 1991.
The actress moved to the United States at the young age of 7 along with her family and showed pride in the country where she was raised.
“I love everything that this country has done for myself and my family. But today, I have never been more proud to be a Ukrainian.” said Kunis.
“The events that have unfolded in Ukraine are devastating. There is no place in this world for this kind of unjust attack on humanity,” Kunis stated.
“We need your support to help Ukrainians. As a community, we are aiming to raise $30 million dollars. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in the lives of those affected. Please join us today by donating and sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and communities. We stand with Ukraine,” the GoFundMe page states.
